Speaker Bio

Tim is the Director of Practice Development with Egghart & Associates and is responsible for the development and expansion of the firm's audit and consulting niche through marketing initiatives, speaking engagements, and training/education. After graduating from the University of Montana with a Master's in Business Administration, Tim worked his way up the ranks at MOSS ADAMS in Seattle, Washington – the eleventh largest firm in the US. After six years in Seattle, Tim returned to his home state of Montana where he became a partner in a regional CPA firm specializing in audits of Tribal Governments and Casinos.

Tim joined Egghart & Associates in 2011 after a three year retirement from practice. Mr. O'Dell has been the lead on numerous casino audits, MICS compliance engagements, and internal audits. He has also helped numerous casinos with fraud examinations, Title 31 implementation, comfort letters, and the establishment of internal audit departments including quality assurance reviews for existing departments.

Mr. O'Dell is a noted speaker on Title 31, understanding financial statements, internal controls, internal auditing, and Tribal politics. Mr. O'Dell has spoken at NIGA, WIGA, CNIGA, G2E, SWIGA, GPIGA as well as the Nevada Society and Oklahoma Society of CPA's. In addition, Tim has taught seminars and provided consulting and audit services to over 100 casinos and tribes over the past 17 years.

Tim is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
